After a relatively mild, but wet , winter plants are now starting to grow strongly with some early flowering. It is still important to remove any dying back leaves. It is a good time to consider a weak liquid feed such as 1/4 strength tomato feed or liquid seaweed feed ( take care not to foliar feed as this can stain the leaves and marr their beauty) While we use a long term slow release fertiliser this can start to wain at this time of year, but don't panic as additional feeding is not essential.. Avoid overfeeding though as this can produce too much leaf growth and sometimes result in substandard flowers. Plants will need watering but remember that too much will do more harm than too little.
Towards the end of the month it will be time to think of a little shading for your greenhouse.
